Prices are inclusive of VAT and may be subject to change without notice at the Company`s discretion.
When goods are collected from the Wine Centre we give 5% discount on 12-bottle cases of wines, which may be mixed, and 5% on sealed cases of beers. Wine orders of five cases or more are given 7.5% discount and ten cases 10% discount. Additionally we offer 10% to 20% discount on Bin Ends and select wines and beers on promotion, for which there is no further volume discount. We regret there is no discount for Sale or Return orders of less than £1000 (net sale).
Deliveries are nearly always free of charge locally, however we ask that orders meet a minimum requirement of 12 bottles and £100.00. Orders may be an assortment of wines, spirits and liqueurs. If less than 12 bottles and £100.00 a £6.95 charge is levied. Beers, ciders and soft drinks may of course be delivered as well. We regret we cannot offer discounts on delivered goods of less than five case wine orders. Wine orders delivered of five cases or more are given 5% discount – and ten cases 7.5% discount. Local deliveries of hampers and wine gifts are subject to the £6.95 levy. Wines on promotion (already discounted 10%-20%) may be delivered, however, at these prices we charge £6.95 for delivery.
For Mail Order deliveries within UK mainland we charge £6.95 to send a single bottle gift and a flat rate £9.95 for larger parcels of 2, 3, 6 & 12 bottles, including all p&p and greetings card if required. Multiple parcels to the same address will attract the reduced rate of £6.50 per parcel, an attractive proposition for our corporate customers and customers wishing to order multiple cases of wine. Surcharges may be necessary for those gift and hamper orders requiring extra packaging and special courier service. Whenever not straightford quotes are provided. We regret surcharges may also be necessary for deliveries to Scotland, Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Channel Islands and overseas.

Important: In the event no-one is home we accept our clients instruction for the courier to leave the parcel with a neighbour or in a specified place on the premises, however, this is at the risk of the client not the merchant or courier. In the absence of such instruction the courier will card the address, inviting the intended recipient to telephone the depot to arrange delivery or collection. If the courier is not contacted after 14 days the parcel is automatically returned to the merchant and it becomes necessary for the client to pay another £13.99 for re-delivery. The same charge is made when the wrong address is given, requiring re-delivery.
Sale or Return
We offer the Sale or Return facility for our local customers` private parties but ask that orders are collected and returned. Where deliveries are needed we are able to oblige, of course – we are even more than willing to collect the unused goods and glassware – however, for orders under £1000 a £20 charge is levied.
Glassware is loaned free of charge providing the appropriate drinks and number of drinks are bought at the Wine Centre. Glasses go out to customers in the condition they are returned by the previous users, so, firstly it is asked they are returned clean, and, secondly, just in case, it is recommended that customers check glasses carefully before use. Breakages are charged at £1 each (standard), £2.50 (fine flut), £7.00 (Riedel, Degustazione), £10 (Riedel, Riesling/Chianti). Glasses returned dirty are charged at £2.50 per dozen.
Account facilities are available to known customers who buy regular orders and who enjoy the convenience of settling their account once monthly. Account customers are asked to pay promptly on receipt of their monthly statements. We recommend that account customers check their orders carefully and sign to acknowledge their receipt, whether collected from the Wine Centre or delivered to their homes. If a signature is not provided, and/or when instruction is given to leave delivered goods without a signature, the Company cannot accept responsibility for any discrepancy, loss or damage to goods.
Title – to all goods supplied by the Company shall remain the property of the Company until paid for in full. All goods are offered subject to availability.
Late Payments are not acceptable and after 60 days without payment in full we automatically levy a flat rate “late payment charge” of £50.00 to the customer and we issue a final 7-day notice before, if necessary, taking the matter to the County Court.
“The Company” refers to Great Horkesley Wines Limited trading as Great Horkesley Wine Centre.
